A documentary about a senior community in Florida could easily turn into biting commentary about some of Trump’s most avid supporters. While some was implied, Some Kind of Heaven puts politics aside. Instead, it’s a peek into the enduring hearts of four of America’s seniors who are looking to sip from the fountain of youth. From single’s clubs to acting class to golf, this 180,000-person margaritaville has it all. Follow one deviant Casanova (and non-Villages resident) as he searches the community for a rich companion to free him from his van life. Sit alongside a couple who struggles with the husband’s new-found drug abuse. Lastly, accompany a widow who feels like she doesn’t quite belong. Come for the candied b-roll, stay for the charming character arcs.

Michael Jordan takes things personally
The 90s-era Chicago Bulls were dominant - on the court and in culture - thanks to the greatest basketball player of all time. But you don’t become a GOAT without pissing off some people. Michael Jordan’s legendary rise is full of supporting characters, one-liners, and rivalries and The Last Dance documentary captures it all. Come for MJ’s shit talking, stay for all the Dennis Rodman stories.
Making a Murderer meets the exotic big cats industry
If you were looking for assholes in Cats, you’ve come to the right place. Tiger King (2020) is a bonkers documentary series about the big cat industry in America. The show centers around Joe Exotic, a flamboyant, gun slinging zoo owner/singer/tv show host/presidential candidate, who allegedly hires a hit man to take out Carole Baskin, a big cats activist who maybe murdered her insanely rich husband by feeding him to the tigers. Additionally, this documentary has sex cults, the man that inspired the Godfather, a fat chucky doll-looking dude on a jetski, polygamy, a lot of animal print, meth, two amazing people missing limbs, arson, con men, men with ponytails, and a very normal campaign manager. It’s sad, it’s juicy, it’s probably unethically made.

McDonald's Monopoly gets scammed by royalty-free Sopranos
What if I told you that an ad agency linked to the mob scammed McDonalds and the good American people out of millions of dollars via the McDonald’s Monopoly game? HBO’s McMillions (2020) is a juicy documentary mini-series about how the iconic fast food contest was completely rigged. This show has everything - the vengeful mob wife, an eager beaver fed agent, multiple guys named Jerry, Florida, Big Macs, potential murder, a son who misses his father, 9/11, and Ronald McDonald. Have you ever wanted to watch The Sopranos but with much lower stakes? Say no more.
